Welcome!

I will use this blog to add whatever it is I feel necessary regarding my stamping journey. In addition to that, I will share my projects and thoughts as to where I am in this magical field of stamping and creativity.

Playing With Acetate, Alcohol & Re-Inkers

Today I used my free time to make an acetate card. The tutorial can be found: here.

It did not take very long for me to make this card. I used acetate sheets from Stampendous! They were already the perfect size, all I had to do was fold it in half. There are definitely some things I would do differently next time when making an acetate card such as using glue dots instead of my ATG gun. I could imagine it would look neater when you see the dot through the other side. Also, to be more careful when stamping on the actual acetate, it gets real slippery!

Here are the materials used for the card:

Stamps: All Through the Year (cherry)
Paper: Whisper White, Rose Red, Black CS
Ink: Basic Black, Stazon White, Rose Red and Garden Green markers
Accessories: Brads, Marvy Punches, $1 Ribbon

I also played with the polished stone technique.
It was super easy!!! It makes for a beautiful background. The card I made using it is really, really simple and plain. I just wanted to see what it would look like. I am definitely going to do this again!

Stamps: Monkeys from Great Impressions
Paper: Glossy CS, Lavendar Lace, Textured paper bought from LSS
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Re-Inkers in Cool Caribbean, Lavendar Lace and Starlite Silver (Archival Brilliance), Black Grosgrain Ribbon

I really had lots of fun with these techniques!
